With that, here we go………..
Starting with how & when to introduce naval aviators to… landing on a boat. The War Zone covered latest developments with the US Navy replacement to the T-45, and then Ward “Mooch” Carroll & Kevin “Hoser” Miller weigned in as per below in a 25~ discussion well worth your time IMHO:
Replacing Idaho ANG’s A-10s with… F-16s?
Yes, the USAF process to push forward with replacing the Idaho Air National Guard’s A-10s with F-16s that have less hardpoints, less range, and less ability to get low for starters has hit a key benchmark. Namely the EIS to park the F-16s at Gowen Field has started scoping a bit late. The below Boise news video is from two years ago but covers the same general issues:
This is after Idaho beat back an effort to get F-35s to replace A-10s due to jet noise… considering I know Boise has been well exposed to F-16 sounds there is hope for the A-10:

Tornado F3 vs Typhoon
Figure this might be a fun subject to discuss…. here’s Helen Seymour discussing the differences:
There’s more at The Aircrew Debrief if this is your cup of tea…
Finally, Iran Preparations Heating Up
I’ve been relying on Max Afterburner on YouTube to give his viewers a daily brief on developments. Apparently the USS Gerald Ford is being sent to the Persian Gulf. I’d like to save this until last ok?
There’s other sources out there I pay attention to - from Dan Senor’s “Call Me Back” to Ward Carroll and such. Figure we should close out with this… unless there’s a good news story somewhere.
If this isn’t enough for you, RampCheck has a 6:30 PM Pacific show.
